Highlights of the Regular Meeting of Council on Monday, October 23, 2023

Student Councillors

Daryl Skworchinski, CAO/Clerk, witnessed the Declaration of Office for both Animki Courchene and Sawyer Redden. Mr. Skworchinski congratulated both Student Councillors and welcomed them aboard.

Council Report

Mayor Dumas provided a verbal report on his attendance at the Ministry of Natural Resources working group relating to woodland caribou species at risk recommendations.

Verbal Update on Pebble Beach and Works Garage Projects

Marc Paris, Works, Operations, Facilities & Parks Manager provided updates on each project and informed Council that Pebble Beach Development Project is behind schedule due to supply chain issues. Council decided that the Pebble Beach grand opening will occur in Spring of 2024, however it will be available to the public when the area is complete.

Report of Appointed Members to Boards and Committees:

Mayor Dumas provided a verbal update on his attendance at the NOMA and AMO board meetings.
