The Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) is offering a series of workshops for people thinking about running for municipal office in the October 2026 elections.
This workshop series is focused on providing insights to underrepresented candidates seeking election. Led by former municipal Councillors Steve Anderson and Jasvinder Sandhu, the 90-minute sessions will cover the following topics:

On November 25th, the Town of Marathon received confirmation that the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development has issued a No Board Report regarding negotiations with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 2, which represents employees working in the Town’s recreation facilities and municipal cleaning services.
