Phase 2 Road Work UpdatePhase 2 Road Work Update – July 21
The completion stage of Phase 2 road repair work is scheduled to begin July 21, 2026, weather pending.
Residents should expect minor detours and brief delays as crews finalize surface treatments and complete remaining repair sections. These temporary traffic adjustments help ensure safe working conditions for NCS contractors.

RESTRICTED FIRE ZONE IN EFFECTThe Town of Marathon is currently within a Restricted Fire Zone.
No fire permits will be issued or sold until the Restricted Fire Zone has been lifted. This means no open-air burning requiring a permit is permitted during this time.
This includes:
🔥 Campfires and recreational fires
🔥 Outdoor fire pits and fireplaces
🔥 Chimineas
🔥 Burning grass, leaves, brush, or yard debris
🔥 Any other open-air burning that requires a permitThese restrictions are in place to help reduce the risk of wildfires and protect our community, residents, visitors, and our emergency responders.

Electrical Infrastructure Work at Marathon Golf Course
The Town of Marathon is advising the public that electrical infrastructure upgrades will be taking place at the Marathon Golf Course this week beginning today. This work is necessary to improve reliability and performance of the irrigation system that supports course maintenance and turf health.
There is no anticipated disruption to regular golf course operations. The golf course will remain open during the work; certain areas may be temporarily marked or restricted while underground cabling is installed.
