The Town of Marathon is proud to offer several fitness programs to suit the needs and likes of everyone in the community. From boot camp style classes to aquafit, there is something for you!

 

Aquafit

Aquafit is a fitness class taught in the water. Cardiovascular and muscular workout without impact. Water adds resistance to assist with muscle toning.

This class is led by our aquafit instructor and fitness enthusiast, Tasha Kelly!

The fee is $9.50 per class, or you can purchase a 10-class punch card for $85.50. Passes can be purchased at the Community Services and Recreation Office during regular business hours.

Aquajog

You may not be able to walk on water, but you can run in the pool! Aquajogging involves wearing a flotation device around your middle and then moving your arms and legs in a running motion in the deep end of the pool. Aqua Jogging has long been recognized as a rehabilitation exercise for injured athletes, but it's also a wonderful workout in its own right and is great for anyone who is looking to get there heart rate up. Mixing water and jogging the benefits are incredible!

This class is led by our aquajog instructor and fitness enthusiast, Tasha Kelly!

Float Fit

Float Fit is Marathon's newest fitness program! Held in Port Hole Pool participants go through bodyweight exercises while balancing on an inflatable board on the water, activating even more muscles!

This class is led by our certified float fit instructor and fitness enthusiast, Tasha Kelly!

What to expect?

Yoga Movements

Stretching and breathing exercises

Core conditioning/strengthening

Expect some higher intensity movements.

Passes must be purchased in advance during regular business hours.

Note that due to the limited boards, passes purchased are per class only and cannot be used interchangeably.

Spots are limited to 12 for each class, you must come in to sign up/buy a pass. Once all spots are taken we will advertise on our Facebook page.

Please come in comfortable workout attire.

Sweat with Tasha

Sweat with Tasha combines strength and cardio exercises for a full-body burn. It will get your heart pumping, make you sweat, and challenge your muscles! Our class offers body weight exercises along with resistance band and weight training.

This class is led by our certified personal trainer and fitness enthusiast, Tasha Kelly!

The fee is $9.50 per class, or you can purchase a 10-class punch card for $85.50. Passes can be purchased at the Community Services and Recreation Office during regular business hours.
