Season Wrap-Up
The Marathon Arena is proud to host the Marathon Mercs Minor Hockey teams and the Marathon Figure Skating Club.
Throughout the ice season, the arena comes alive with practices, tournaments, performances, public skating, special events, and rentals — welcoming individuals and organizations alike.
The ice is now out for the season. We’ll reopen in August, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back for another exciting year on the ice!
During the 2024/2025 season, Public Skating and Shinny were fully sponsored — thank you to our generous community sponsors for making free skating possible. We’re now seeking sponsors for the 2025/2026 season. If you'd like to support accessible recreation in Marathon, please get in touch!
No pass is required for public skating. If you purchased a pass this past season, refunds are available at Town Hall.

| General Ice Usage Guidelines |
| Times and dates are subject to change without notice. |
| We recommend the use of proper-fitting, CSA approved hockey helmets with face mask for all age groups. |
| No food or beverage allowed on the ice. |
| No hockey sticks/pucks on the ice during public skating. |
| Strollers are permitted on the ice-Rink attendant should be notified first. |
| Respect all skaters and staff on and off the ice. |
| Shinny Hockey requires CSA Helmet, Hockey Gloves, Skates and stick (minimum)- full equipment is encouraged and permitted. |
