The Town of Marathon is pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached today in negotiations with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 2, which represents employees working in the Town’s recreation facilities and municipal cleaning services.

This agreement reflects productive and respectful discussions between the parties and represents an important step toward stability for employees and continuity of services for the community. The agreement is subject to ratification by both parties.

All Town recreation facilities, including the Marathon Recreation Complex (arena and theatre), Lakeview Community Hall, fitness and related programs, continue to operate as usual.

The Town thanks employees and residents for their patience throughout the bargaining process and remains committed to maintaining safe, reliable, and high-quality recreational services for the community.
