Nominations for the Town of Marathon Municipal and School Board Election 2026 can be filed beginning May 1, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. and ending August 21, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.

Nomination forms must be completed on the prescribed forms and filed with the Clerk or their designate at the Municipal Office, Town of Marathon, in the following manner:

• In person or through an agent;

• During regular office hours from May 1, 2026 to Thursday, August 20, 2026, and between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026 (Nomination Day);

• Accompanied by the prescribed nomination fee of $200 for Head of Council and $100 for all other offices (payable by cash, cheque, visa, money order, or debit);

• With proof of identity and residence as required under O. Reg. 304/13.

Electronic submissions will not be accepted. Original signatures are required. Nomination papers for school board offices must be filed with the appropriate municipal office.
