By-Law Enforcement Notice

The Town of Marathon is committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly community for all residents. Enforcement of key by-laws will begin in early July. This is your opportunity to clean up your property and encourage your neighbours to do the same.

The following By-Laws will be actively enforced:

  • By-Law No. 2057 – Yard Maintenance: Properties must be clean and clear in accordance with Section 4.0. Inoperable vehicles must be removed or covered in accordance with Section 5.0.
  • By-Law No. 1873 – Zoning: In accordance with Section 4.29, the parking of vehicles, trailers, RVs, boats, ATVs, and snowmobiles is not permitted in any part of a front yard except for the driveway.
  • By-Law No. 1734 – Property Standards: Property owners are required to maintain their properties to prevent hazards, nuisances, and deterioration, as outlined in the by-law.
Failure to comply may result in fines, orders to comply, or other enforcement actions.
We encourage all residents to review the full by-laws and prepare accordingly:
