Waterfront Site Development
The Town of Marathon has begun major environmental remediation and site development activities at the former Industrial Pulp Mill Site along the waterfront. This important preparatory phase will clean and stabilize the brownfield property to support future community development.
Work Underway
The current phase includes:

Soil Remediation: Excavation, removal, and treatment of historically contaminated soils.

Site Clearing and Grading: Preparing the land for future use.

Hauling and Trucking: Increased heavy truck traffic can be expected in the area as materials are transported to and from the site.
