Rink Attendant

Reporting to the Community Services Manager, this position is responsible for providing a safe, enjoyable arena environment, promoting safety and providing first aid when required.

Qualifications:

  • Valid standard first aid certificate
  • Skating abilities
  • Ability to effectively communicate with public
  • Able to work independently and in a cold setting (arena)

Hours of work:        evening & weekend shifts

Wage:                        $15.50 per hour plus 4% vacation pay

Canteen Attendant

The Canteen Attendant is responsible for maintaining operations and assisting customers at the canteen.

Qualifications:

  • Valid standard first aid certificate and food handling course considered an asset
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, holidays and special events
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team setting  

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patrons, make recommendations and answer questions regarding the  products available.
  • Selling products to customers.
  • Unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, cupboards, and other storage areas; keep records of the quantities of food used, monitor inventories and recommend reordering.
  • Wash counters, cupboards and appliances, remove trash and clear kitchen garbage containers, sweep and mop floors and perform other cleaning duties.
  • Work in a safe manner in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Hours of Work:       Evenings, Weekends and Special Events
