Recreation Complex

The Marathon Recreation Complex is the focal point of the community.  Located in the heart of Marathon it is home to the majority of the recreation events.  The complex includes a swimming pool, arena, and theatre.

A variety of programs are offered at the pool including public swims, lunch lengths, adult swims, and swimming lessons.  The pool also regularly offers life guard training courses and first aid classes.  All events can be watched by spectators in the overlooking viewing room.

As is typical of northern communities, the local arena is the hub of activity.  The Marathon Recreation Comples is home ice to the Superior Eagles "AAA" Midget Hockey Team.  Marathon Figure Skating, Minor Hockey, men's, mixed and drop-in hockey as well as regular public skating round off a very busy ice schedule.

The Marathon theatre is open six days a week.  It is closed on Wednesdays. Call 229-9580 for rental information and current showings.
