Marathon Family Practice

The Town of Marathon in conjunction with Marathon Family Practice are pleased to announce the pending sale of the Library Building to the Marathon Family Practice.

This will allow our current health care providers the physical space to expand services and continue to evolve as the Marathon Family Health Team.

As the Marathon Family Health Team, new health care professionals will be added to the staff. The physical location of the Library Building allows for further centralization of health services within very close proximity of Wilson Memorial General Hospital, the Thunder Bay District Health Unit, and Superior North EMS Ambulance Service.

Health care and the retention of qualified and dedicated professionals is a key component of the quality of life and future well-being of our residents, said Mayor Bell.

We have also ensured that Marathon Library will continue to serve the residents of Marathon with the same high quality of service and professionalism. The Library will be relocated to the main floor of the building and deliver the same services to their patrons.

We are extremely proud of the Marathon Family Health Team as they are a model for health care delivery in our Province, said Bell.
