Reporting to the Administrative Assistant/Human Resources Specialist, this position is responsible to work with the Senior Guard(s) to provide constant safety supervision, coordinate and instruct aquatic programs, complete required documentation, assist in the mechanical operation of the filter room and balance water chemistry and assist in the daily cleanliness of the facility. This posting is also open to Town staff and internal applications will be processed before external applications are considered.

Qualifications
- Minimum of grade 12 and one (1) year experience in a related field
- Valid National Lifeguard Service certificate with pool option and swim instructor certificate
- Valid standard first aid and CPR/AED certificate, WHMIS certificate
- Willing and available to work days, evenings and weekends in a team environment and with minimal supervision, available to work on short notice
- Ability to effectively communicate with the public to enforce safety rules and to teach children and adults
- Working knowledge of the Public Pools Act
- Physically able to perform all activites related to this position
- Willing and able to maintain and upgrade certificates related to lifeguarding and swim instruction
- Provide a police records search certificate satisfactory to the Employer
- Valid Class G driver's license
