Marathon Building and By-Law

The Emergency Services department is also responsible for the building and planning function. These functions are performed by a Chief Building Official and a By-law Enforcement Officer. Duties include services in the areas of planning, zoning, building, business and lottery licenses, by-law enforcement and animal control.

  • Deputy Fire Chief Greg Latham
  • Assistant Deputy Chief Ron Simpson
  • Four Company Captains
  • Three Company Lieutenants
  • Fire Prevention Section; Public Fire Education Section
  • 27 Firefighters
